That dance we all do
Installation
2012
This work consists of a video, paper mache masks and piles of clothing. The dance referred to in the title is both the Macarena (a dance most of us have done at some point) and the daily 'dance' we all do when we choose who to be each day, or in each situation.
The masks and costumes are based on anonymous survey responses answering questions about me. My face is pixelated in the video, suggesting that I have no identity until I decide who I'm going to be and put my mask on.
